The Golden Hour
Mixed media with Gelli=print and copper and gold leaf
113cm x 113cm
Walking through the south Downs woods after sunset, the day lingers in the treetops where the last light catches the leaves and turns them into gold. On the path, the air is cool and earthy, carrying the rich scent of Petrichor – the smell of rain and damp Woodland after the Earth has been awakened. It is a fleeting quiet moment between day and darkness when the autumn woods glow from within.
