I’m very excited about my new paintings all done during lockdown.
Being an “artist-in-residence” , I’m relying on memory and intuition, working on series of six small squares at once, not copying an exact location but trying to distill a sense of place, the light and energy, even the birdsong and the breeze. (in this piece, I’ve incorporated an old map from 1826, and a lovely Japanese postage stamp of a bird.)
I’m offering them for sale, floating in lovely deep white box frames.
